mytesla.io
ChatGPT pluginControl your Tesla with AI
Your Tesla app already sends commands. This plugin is what it can't do.
mytesla.io plugs your car into everything ChatGPT already knows, your calendar, the weather, your routines, and decides when to act.
Ask for an outcome, not a button:
- "have the cabin cool by the time my last meeting ends"
- "get the car ready for my 300-mile drive tomorrow morning"
- "if frost is forecast tonight, defrost before my first meeting"
Or set a standing routine and stop thinking about it:
- "start cooling 15 minutes before I leave for work, but only when it's hot out"
- "charge to 80% by 7am on weekdays, off-peak only"
- "track my car stats daily and send me a report each Sunday"
Eight ready-made routines ship inside the plugin as skills: morning departure prep, overnight off-peak charging, a nightly security check, cabin heat guard, a weekly digest, a software update accelerator, a private vehicle history log, and a setup routine that runs after install.
Or just ask: "where's my car, is it locked, did I leave the windows open in the rain?" One answer from live data, instead of tapping through the Tesla app.
Climate, charging, security and status: every car command goes through Tesla's official Fleet API, and commands that change the car ask for your confirmation first.
No driving control. Your Tesla tokens stay server-side, encrypted, and you can revoke access at any time. Not affiliated with Tesla, Inc.

Skills
cabin-heat-guard
Use when the user worries about the car getting hot in the sun, wants the cabin to stay cool while parked in summer, or asks about cabin overheat protection. Turns on Tesla's cabin overheat protection with set_cabin_overheat_protection so the parked car vents or cools itself, with no schedule needed. One call, plus a wake if the car is asleep.
morning-departure-prep
Use when the user says when they are leaving (a time, a commute, a meeting, tomorrow morning) and wants the cabin warm or cool, defrosted, or the battery charged by then. Sets Tesla's own scheduled departure with set_scheduled_departure so preconditioning and charging finish at the real departure time, and the car keeps applying it with no assistant involved. One call per setup, plus a wake if the car is asleep.
nightly-security-check
Use when the user asks whether their parked Tesla is locked, wants a nightly or bedtime security check, or asks about windows or Sentry Mode, especially when parked somewhere unfamiliar. Reads lock state, windows and Sentry Mode with get_vehicle_status and locks the car or turns Sentry Mode on only as the user chose; offers a scheduled nightly run when the assistant can run tasks.
onboarding
Run once after install, or when the user wants their assistant to keep their Tesla in mind from now on, remember their car and preferences, or set up mytesla.io for the first time. Checks the connection with get_vehicles and get_credit_balance, takes one useful first reading, and saves a short standing note about the car and the user's preferences so later conversations include the car when it matters.
overnight-charging
Use when the user wants to charge overnight, on off-peak or cheaper electricity, to a certain percent by morning, or asks how to charge more cheaply at home. Reads the state with get_vehicle_status, sets the charge limit with set_charge_limit and an off-peak schedule with set_scheduled_departure, which the car then keeps applying every night.
software-update-accelerator
Use when the user wants Tesla software updates installed as soon as they are downloaded, asks why an update is sitting on the car, or wants updates to happen overnight. Checks for a downloaded update with get_vehicle_status and starts the install with schedule_software_update so the car is on the new version by morning. It cannot make Tesla send updates sooner.
vehicle-history
Use when the user wants a private log or history of their Tesla's battery, range, mileage or charging, a dashboard or chart of those over time, or asks how their car has been doing lately. Keeps the log on the user's side from readings that happen anyway (get_vehicle_status), optionally on a schedule, and builds a dashboard from it. Never wakes the car; mytesla.io stores none of it.
weekly-digest
Use when the user asks for a weekly report, summary or check-in on their Tesla, or wants to know about battery, range, charging and anything that looks off since last week. A short read-only digest from get_vehicle_status plus the mytesla.io credit balance from get_credit_balance; a scheduled run never wakes the car.
