Pantry Persona

ChatGPT plugin

Meal plans, recipes, grocery

View in ChatGPT directory

Your kitchen inside ChatGPT: recipes, a weekly meal plan, and a grocery list built from what's already at home.

Pantry Persona remembers what's in your fridge, what your family can and can't eat, and which brands you prefer, then keeps everything in sync as you cook and shop through the week.

Meal plans: Generate a full week of meals in one ask, or build it day by day. Plans respect your household's food preferences and eating rules automatically and carry per-meal nutrition.

Recipes: Save a recipe from a website, a cooking video, or a social post, or create one in conversation. Search by ingredient, cuisine, or what you can make right now with what's on hand, and group favorites into collections.

Shopping lists: Visual, interactive lists organized by store. Ask for one from your meal plan and it skips anything already in your pantry; check items off with one tap and send it to Instacart when you're ready to buy.

Cook Mode: Start cooking a recipe and get step-by-step guidance. When you're done, ingredients are deducted from your pantry and leftovers are tracked with expiration dates.

Household: Profiles store each family member's food preferences, eating rules, favorite brands, and nutrition targets, and every suggestion, plan, and search filters through them. Invite family members and everyone works from the same pantry, recipes, and shopping lists in real time.

Nutrition: See calories and macros on every recipe and meal, set daily targets for each person, and check how today or the week is stacking up. Log what you actually ate, even a meal out, and it counts toward your totals.

Receipts and staples: Pantry Persona tracks expiration dates, predicts when you'll run low on staples, and learns the brands and prices you buy. Grocery receipts become an up-to-date inventory and a clear picture of your spending.

A guided setup gets a new kitchen planned and shopped in a few questions.

Example prompts

  • “Set up my kitchen and plan my first week of dinners.”
  • “Find three easy weeknight dinners and save the ones I like.”
  • “What can I make for dinner tonight with what I have?”

Skills

  • set-up-my-kitchen

Sets up a new Pantry Persona kitchen in a few short questions, then plans a first week and builds the shopping list from it. Use when the user says "get started", "set me up", "I just connected Pantry Persona", "help me get started", or "what do I do first". Not for returning users who want to plan the week, cook tonight, or log a shopping trip; use plan-my-week, cook-tonight, or after-shopping instead.

  • plan-my-week

Plans dinners for the days the user names, from their saved recipes and what is already in the pantry, then builds the shopping list for what is missing. Follows the household's saved planning routine and day themes. Use when the user says "plan the week", "plan dinners", "meal plan for next week", or "what should we eat this week". Not for tonight's dinner or a single swap; use cook-tonight or edit the plan directly.

  • kitchen-check

Takes a quick look around the kitchen and returns a short list of suggested fixes: food expiring soon, dinners not yet planned for the next three days, and staples missing from the shopping list. Changes nothing until the user approves. Use when the user says "check my kitchen", "daily kitchen check", "anything I should know", or "what needs attention". Not for full weekly planning or logging a receipt.

  • cook-tonight

Suggests two or three dinners the user can make tonight, using up pantry items that expire soonest, shows the chosen recipe, and logs the meal afterward so the pantry stays accurate. Use when the user says "what can I cook tonight", "dinner ideas with what I have", "use up my spinach", or "I made it". Not for planning several days or building a shopping list; use plan-my-week or after-shopping.

  • after-shopping

Keeps the pantry and shopping list current after a grocery run: reads receipt photos or pasted receipt text into the pantry, sets up always-buy staples, adds items to the shopping list, and sends the list to Instacart. Use when the user says "here's my receipt", "I just went shopping", "add milk to my list", "always keep eggs on the list", or "send my list to Instacart". Not for meal planning or recipe ideas.
