PartsPlan
ChatGPT pluginRead component datasheets
PartsPlan gives ChatGPT an archive of manufacturer datasheets for electronic components and takes it to the page that answers the question: the exact document, page, table or figure, read from the original.
What you can do:
- Check a whole BOM or schematic in one call: for each line, whether a datasheet identified as that manufacturer's is in the archive and whether its pages can be read (passives included).
- Find the datasheet for a part number and see where its sections, tables, figures, pin descriptions, package drawings and application circuits are.
- Search a datasheet for a term and read the matching page as text blocks or as the original page image.
- Read values from datasheet graphs as numbers, with the figure's page; when the axes are not certain, no values are given and the page image is offered instead.
- Find candidate parts by description, device type or maker.
- Compare a part with candidates you chose: an adjustable default rubric for LDOs, MOSFETs, op-amps, buck regulators and relays (hard lines, weighted items summing to 100, and checks) with the datasheet pages to read for each item and part — no scores, rankings or compatibility verdicts.
- Download the archived original PDF of a document through a signed link.
Answers point to the document and page they were read from, and missing information is not estimated. PartsPlan does not validate circuits and has no stock, price or lead-time data.
Intended users: hardware, electronics and embedded engineers, students and makers who design or review circuits.

Example prompts
- “Check this BOM against the manufacturer datasheets: TPS7A4701RGWR, TPS62130RGTR, ADS1148IPWR (Texas Instruments).”
- “Where does the TPS7A4701 datasheet give the dropout voltage at 1 A? Show the table row and page.”
- “Compare AP2112K-3.3TRG1 (Diodes) with my picks RT9080-33GJ5 and XC6220B331MR-G: default rubric and datasheet pages.”
Skills
get-started
Read electronic-component datasheets with PartsPlan — find the manufacturer's document for a part number, go straight to the page that holds the answer, and read the printed source (text, table images, graph values). Use for ratings, pinouts, package drawings, graphs, register maps, comparison rubrics and BOM checks.
