Templated

Templated is an API for automated image, PDF and video generation from templates. Design a template once in the Templated editor, import it from Canva, or have ChatGPT build one from a short brief, then render on-brand images, PDFs and videos from it with new data.

With Templated in ChatGPT, you can work across your whole template workflow:

• Create templates from a brief: describe a post, banner or certificate and ChatGPT designs a template with named layers, then renders it so you can check the result
• Preview renders inline: finished images, PDFs and videos appear in the conversation as an interactive preview card with size, format and a download link
• Render with your data: fill any template with new text, images, colors, QR codes and barcodes, and get PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF or MP4 files
• Social media: Instagram posts, stories and carousels, LinkedIn posts, YouTube thumbnails and quote cards
• Marketing creatives: banner ads, ad creatives, flyers, posters, email headers, product mockups and ecommerce product images
• Link previews: Open Graph (OG) images for blog posts, docs and landing pages
• Documents: certificates, invoices, receipts, menus, event tickets, badges and business cards
• Multi-page PDFs: catalogs, reports and menus as a single PDF, with print-ready output (flattened PDF, CMYK)
• Video: MP4 video ads and reels with animated text and images (entrance, loop and exit animations)
• Resize one design to every format: multi-size templates keep a square post, a story and a banner in one template, and any of its sizes can be rendered
• Batch personalized renders: one certificate, invoice or product card per name or row of a list, then merge the PDFs into a single file
• Edit and organize: update, clone and resize templates, sort them into folders, and manage uploaded images and custom fonts

Rendering is deterministic template rendering, not AI image generation: the same template and data always produce the same result, ready for marketing, ecommerce, documents and automations. Templated does not generate pictures from a text prompt, edit existing photos or publish to social networks. Images used in a render must be available at a public URL, and each render counts toward your Templated account's usage.
