More than 5.4 million sections, including repealed and historical provisions kept with their status.

WHAT YOU CAN DO. Search every corpus at once, or scope to one jurisdiction, body of law or status. Resolve a citation such as 42 U.S.C. 1983 to the exact provision it names. Read a section's operative text, or read it as it stood on a past date and see what changed. Find the sections that cite a provision, the terms it defines, its neighbors and the equivalent rule in other states. Look up state session laws as enacted.

SOURCES. Every result carries its official source URL and the publisher's own status for that section. The good-law signal reports what the publisher records about repeal or supersession. It is not a judicial-validity check, and where currency cannot be vouched for it says unknown.
