Bedrock Estimating

Bedrock Estimating is takeoff and estimating software for construction subcontractors. This plugin connects ChatGPT and Codex to your company's Bedrock workspace, so you can work on your own jobs in conversation.

What you can do:

• Look at plan sheets, zoom in to read dimensions and notes, and search the text on sheets.
• See what has been taken off and measured, and measure a length or an area on a sheet at its scale.
• Read an estimate with Bedrock's own totals by bid item and cost type, and have it checked for mistakes before a bid goes out.
• Add, change and remove estimate lines, markups and bid items, priced from your cost database.
• Draw rulers, highlights, notes, callouts and counts on a sheet so your team sees what was found.
• Look up cost items, labor, equipment, crews and assemblies, and run an assembly on given dimensions.
• Read a job's proposal, change orders, purchase orders, field reports, budget, schedule and billing.
• Search your CRM, add and update leads and tasks, and log calls, emails and meetings.

How changes work: you sign in to Bedrock, choose the company to connect, and choose what the assistant may see and change. Unless you allow a connection to save straight away, each change is a proposal that waits for a person to approve it in Bedrock. Changes that were applied can be undone in Bedrock for 30 days.

Limits: the plugin works only inside the one Bedrock company you connect. It does not create or change takeoff, set a sheet's scale, change a job's status, send email or proposals, or take payments. It needs a Bedrock Estimating account in a company that has AI connections.
